Google Calendar on Android can now automatically find the best time for office meetings
Google’s calendar-on-the-go keeps getting great features: soon after being garnished with “Goals” feature, it just got another feature. The feature has been long present in the web vwersion but now it made its appearance on mobile too.
Google wants to make the process of coordinating your next get together a little less painful. a new feature in Calendar for Android called “Find a time,” which lets you schedule meetings wherever you are. The feature is available for all Google Apps for Work or Education users. We all have insanely busy schedules, and keeping up with when is the best time to have that company meeting or important call with a client can be hard to do.
Similar to how this works on desktop, Google Calendar for Android now lets you find times that work for all the participants in a meeting and it will automatically rank them according to what it believes are the most convenient times for everybody involved. All of this, of course, only really works for organizations where people already share their schedules and it won’t help you find a meeting time with somebody outside of your organization either.
To use the feature, users start by making a new event in the app and invite people to join by entering in their names. Once people are added to the event, the user will see the option to tap on “find a time” featured underneath their names. And if you manage someone else’s calendar, you can use the feature to schedule meetings on their behalf as well. The company aims to help people find time to work on personal goals during a hectic week.
If you’re more of as web than mobile user, here’s a reminder of a Reminder feature. 🙂
