We often get questions from business executives about the public cloud so we are making a series of videos about IT for business executives because we want to make IT topics closer to people who make important decisions on a daily basis.

We are people with many years of experience in IT and business, we have seen companies struggling to survive and implementing technologies that helped them stay competitive. Things are changing really fast and it is very important to adapt. But sometimes it can be hard to choose the right technology for your business needs. Albert Einstein once said: I don’t need to know everything, I just need to know where to find it, when I need it. With that thought in mind, we are sure that our channel will be, as always, a helpful source of information.

How does using public cloud impact my business?

New business models have emerged since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, and the public cloud made it happen. At times like these, it is very important to embrace the change and make the most of it using new technologies.

Public cloud brings the speed of innovation and a number of services that are impossible to implement if you are using on-prem technology. Workforce mobility, real-time collaboration, video conferences are being our new reality now, and all that is impossible without the public cloud. In this video, we discuss all the benefits that the public cloud brings to your business.

Isn’t moving to the public cloud decision to be made by the IT department?

The answer to this question is very clear: Definitely not! The IT department is more like a service department within the company and is not in charge of improving business processes and innovation. People from IT are not responsible for business models, finance or profitability and therefore should not have the last word on this decision.

Business executives can often be discouraged when it comes to this topic and that’s why we want to provide the information essential for their business growth in these hard times.

Why does the IT department sometimes deflect from the change that is inevitable? Find out in our video.

Problems with the internet at the office while at home it works like a charm?

Video conferencing has become very important nowadays and many companies find it useful to communicate with clients or colleagues using, for example, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or some other popular tool.

But some of our customers reported a strange thing happening when they started working from home in larger numbers – when they access video conferencing tools from their home they have no problems and when they are at the office there are many issues.

Why is this happening? The answer to this puzzle is that intranet (VPN and Firewalls), the old world networking approach and technology are not suited for the modern tools in the cloud and that is especially shown when video conferencing tools are used widely. Check out the video to learn more.

Contact us if you need help solving this puzzle within your company, we would be more than happy to help.
