StaffHub – connecting deskless workers in Office 365

The StaffHub was created thinking about the access of information by an estimated 500 million frontline staff workers around the world. Most of those workers don’t have their own desk, office or PC, and that contributes to an excessive creation of paper-based material, Microsoft writes in a blog.

StaffHub provides managers a channel to distribute information files to the employees, such as policy documents, news bulletins or videos. Besides that, a messaging platform enables the communication between managers and employees or between employers themselves.

With its mobile-oriented nature, StaffHub is a good example of the types of apps that Microsoft has been investing in — things that will help lots of people be more productive, even when the apps might not be on top of Microsoft’s own operating systems. That’s also true of other Microsoft Office apps, like Outlook, Word, Excel, and OneNote.

Employees can access and interact with this information from StaffHub mobile apps on their iOS and Android devices (as well as from a web version of the app).
