Earlier this month we introduced you to Microsoft Planner, a new tool and company’s Trello competitor. Microsoft Planner, team collaboration software lets you visually organize plans, assign tasks, share files, chat and more. With Planner, teams can create new plans; organize, assign and collaborate on tasks; set due dates; update statuses and share files, while visual dashboards and email notifications keep everyone informed on progress.

What makes Microsoft’s offering compelling versus the competition is its integration with other Microsoft products – something that will appeal to organizations who are already invested in Microsoft’s Office suite and related services.

In short, Microsoft Planner is a new experience in Office 365 devised to organize work, manage and assign tasks and collaborate within your teams.

The video above demonstrates where to find Planner, how to get started with creating plans, assigning tasks and the things you can do while working through a plan. We walk through the integrated experiences with Office 365 Groups, board and chart views to visualize tasks and monitor progress—and finally what the team is building in the coming months.
