Google improved sharing permissioa in Google Docs.
Privatne: Private documents can be accessed only people who can view or edit your doc are the people you explicitly share with.
People from your organisation with a link: documents can be accessed by anyone with a link within the domain. If you select ‘Allow everyone to edit’, they will be able to make changes in the document.
People from your organisation can search and access: dokuments will be indexed and anyone from organisatio can open them.
If your Google administrator enabled sharing outside domain, you can make the document publicly accessible on the web or only people with the link.
