Google announced new security features and partnerships for Chrome Enterprise that, Google says, will help ensure Chrome Enterprise is “the most secure endpoint solution for businesses in the cloud.”

Google says it’s strengthening the security of its Chrome Enterprise operating system for business users with a bunch of new features and partnerships aimed at protecting devices in the far reaches of the cloud.

By positioning Chrome Enterprise as a fuller, more secure cloud endpoint solution, Google could win some more enterprise customers over to the Chrome ecosystem. For starters are the EMM partnerships. Last year, Google gave VMware AirWatch the ability to manage Chrome OS. Now, the post noted, it has extended that functionality to Cisco, IBM, Citrix, and Zoho.
