Azure Media Indexer has shown itself useful in a large variety of scenarios. Microsoft first envisioned Indexer as a product for enterprises and content owners to create internal or consumer video portals with captions and search. Since its release last year, Microsoft discovered countless new scenarios improved by integrating its speech-to-text indexing capabilities.
Lamont Harrington describes how Azure Media Indexer was used in conjunction with Azure Machine Learning, Azure Stream Analytics and Power BI to create a powerful multimedia portal for law enforcement agencies in his recent blog post, “Building Media Indexing and Analysis Solutions for Law Enforcement on Azure Government.”
