Remember Google Latitude? The long-dead app has been resurrected to make it easier for business people to  and in private life, to know where your children are. The tracking feature is completely masnagable so you can decide who can see where you are and for how long.  That interval ranges from 15 minutes to 3 days.

When the feature rolls out “soon worldwide,” you’ll be able to slide out the side menu or just tap the blue dot marking where you are and choose “share location.” From there, you choose who you want to be share your precise location with and for how long.

Google Maps can now temporarily share your real-time location with friends 

Now Google Maps will let you tell your friends where you are and give them directions to your location. It will also let you pick a special friend (like a family member, spouse or love interest, for example) to share your location with long-term.

Google has been adding a ton of functionality to Maps like useful parking spot reminders and the ability to share your favorite local spots with friends. The favourite places feature, lets you save your journeys and share them with friends via your smartphone.
