Starting today, the Google Drive search bar on the web app can use Natural Language Processing (NLP) to help you find documents. For example, searching “show me presentations from last year” brings up all your documents modified in last year with a presentation file type.

Search faster and with ease
Natural Language Processing (NLP) is a fancy way of saying “search like you talk.” You can type things like “find my budget spreadsheet from last December” or “show me presentations from Anissa.” Drive will understand what you mean and give you the option to click for those specific search results. Drive NLP will get better with each query — so keep on searching. 😉

This update also brings a few other minor changes.  You can also now easily split your document into multiple columns, courtesy of a new Columns menu in the Format menu.

These changes are currently only present in the web Drive application, but  the changes are probably on the mobile way, too.
