Gmail and Inbox now turn phone numbers, physical addresses, and email addresses into hyperlinks that take you to the appropriate app.

For example, pressing on a phone number takes you to your default dialer, pressing on a physical address takes you to Google Maps, and pressing on an email address opens your default email client.

Gmail has finally added the ability to convert phone numbers and addresses to links

Next time someone emails you an address, you no longer have to copypaste it on Maps after viewing it on Gmail or Inbox.

To sum it up: when an address is clicked from Gmail, it will automatically open up Google Maps. Clicking an email address will compose a new email using the user’s default email client, and clicking a phone number will start a call request.
